More pictures of the bounty from my garden...behind the cut, to spare those of you who are getting bored by pics of veggies!
Potatoes!
I never grew potatoes before! We harvested about 3 pounds from a tiny little patch less than two feet square.
Cucumbers and a pepper!
Looks like it will be pickle time again soon!
Potatoes and cukes cleaned up
BTW, we ate four of the smaller potatoes for supper! They were very good! I will probably cook the eensy weensy ones with some beans. We've had a few of our yellow and green beans so far, but not enough to make a mess on their own, I had to add some I bought to them to make enough. But I have lots of blooms and tiny beans on the bushes-- I have hopes that I will have enough for a real mess of beans by the weekend, maybe.
My first tomatoes!
I have three other hanging buckets, and two pots on the ground, but these are the only ones getting ripe so far. I picked two of the ones in the green pot.
Yummy! I have one little tomato that's just about ripe enough to pick. I had a little trouble with blossom-end rot, but I think I can still salvage most of my tomatoes, now that we've got our irrigation system figured out.
I will probably cook the eensy weensy ones with some beans.
Green beans and potatoes cooked with ham is nature's perfect food!
oh beautiful! I envy your garden! Me? I've just been going to the farmer's market every Saturday morning and letting others do the hardy work! :D But lovely!
