It's possible that the DH's new schedule will be short-lived. It was the idea of this one particular administrator, and no one else seems very happy about it. He may be back to the old schedule before New Years. *crosses fingers*

I'm still feeling pretty crappy; my cold is lingering even after 5 days on antibiotics. I didn't go to church this AM-- I *had* to work yesterday, and by the time my shift ended I was exhausted and hurting. But I'm hoping to go to the cantata service this evening.

OTOH, I have gotten some writing done-- I'm making good progress on my Yule Exchange fic! And I need to get some more MEFA reviews done to reach my goal, but I think I will make it.

And on the pet front: Miss Bell is not hiding so much, but today she went out of her way to pick a couple of fights with Sophie-- Bell takes exception to the fact that this particular dog can climb. Sophie can't get up on the bookcase or piano yet, but the back of the sofa is only a little hop for her, and if Sophie gets on the table, I think we'll have all out war.

And Sophie has discovered my printer! Whenever I use it she stands right in front of it and barks and growls at the noises, and then jumps back when the paper shoots out, LOL!

Whenever something is making noise (vacuum, printer, etc.) Pippin stays up on the bed and keeps an eye on it. Or both eyes, when she can spare them.

Sophie barks at the vacuum cleaner too! I think it might be a terrier thing-- when Sugar or Sissy saw the vacuum cleaner they both wanted to get out of Dodge! I usually let them out when I ran it! But Snowflake (the little terrier we had before them) reacted the same way Sophie does.

The DH noticed something the other day I'd never paid attention to before: we've always given our dogs "S" names. I don't know why. It wasn't deliberate, but it certainly has turned out that way-- our first dog was named "Smokey".

I'm sorry you're still feeling poorly. Fingers crossed you feel better soon and that your hubby gets his old schedule back.

I did go to the cantata, and enjoyed it, but was feeling distinctly "off" by the time it ended.

It's hilarious. The shelf it's on is right at nose-level for her, and she goes right up to it barking-- then the paper pops out and she backs up like it shot at her, LOL!

Thanks! I really want to get rid of this cold. It's not at all fun. And I do hope they give him back the old schedule. People our age aren't meant to go to bed at O-dark-hundred!

It really is quite funny to watch her! Obviously that's a dog-eating piece of paper coming for her!

You know how most cats are afraid of the vacuum cleaner? Well, my older cat, Morgy, is totally indifferent about it - you can clean all around him (for example, if he's on the couch or something like that) and he won't even blink, but he's afraid of my printer! *lol*

I'm so sorry to hear you're still feeling so badly. This illness seems to hang on, even after you start to feel better. I hope you're all well by Christmas.
