Since it's Caterday, and I just happened to catch Miss Belladonna in an unguarded moment last night...





And then today I caught Sophie in the same pose!

The pic of Bella doesn't show, but she's laying right in front of the hearth, and it was the first night we'd had the fireplace on. I think she was baking herself--she turned over on the other side not long after I took the pic.

As for Sophie, I am astounded at the various poses she can strike!

It's especially funny, 'cause you don't tend to think of dogs as being particularly limber.

No not most of the time. But Sophie is our second "limber dog". Sissy, one of our previous dogs, was one I called my "Celtic dog". Have you ever seen pictures of Celtic knotwork in which the dogs are contorted into knots? I swear she must have been descended from one of those! She would get into the weirdest positions, and we would just wonder how she did it!

They are aren't they? Honestly, I don't know if its because she's female (our previous cats have been male) but Miss Bella is quite the most affectionate kitty we've had, and will lay on my lap for hours. She really is a love sponge.

And so is Sophie, though she's mainly taken over the DH. But once in a while she will chase the cat off my lap to claim my attention.

Once in a while Miss Bella can be rather awkward for a cat. She'll miss a leap and go splat--then she sits up and washes a paw, and looks around like "You didn't see that."

I wonder what they'd make of each other.

They are really cute--I can't believe how adorable they can be sometimes--but they can be real mischiefs as well, as when they joined forces to kill polymer Frodo!

They are so cute like that. But you might reconsider if you just had them take a short cut across the top of your head in an inpromptu chase with claws out on the cat's part and some seriously loud barking on the dog's while you are trying to knit. Ow! *rubs head*

These are great! Like Lavendertook says, they are twin sisters of a different mother (and species and taxonomic family).

I wish I could flop about like that. Wait. I do. But no one takes photos of me when I am that relaxed!

Well, I hope no one ever takes pics of me when I'm that relaxed either. They most certainly would not be "cute" or "adorable". "Eye-sporking" is more the term that comes to my mind!
