I am so homesick for my old SCA home, the Barony of Seleone! I got the wonderful news that two of my friends, Syr Loric Silvestrus and Mistress Diana of the Isles, have at long last achieved their goal.

They are the new heirs of the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann.

I had a great weekend at the Ocean Springs Renaissance Faire. This is a small ren faire, put on by one of the churches to raise funds for a number of local charities, not one of the large "for profit" Ren Faires, so it has a much more relaxed and intimate feel about it. Here are a lot of pics:

Thanks to danachan, here's some pics of Gulf Wars. I only got to attend Thursday and Saturday, and the pictures came up somewhat out of order. They are all thumbnails, so you can click on them to get a better view.

Thursday, I spent most of the day at Scribe's Point working on scrolls, and Saturday I did a lot of shopping. Since I had the drive back, I did not stay for Great Court Saturday night, though I would have dearly loved to.

I had loads of fun though, and saw a few people that I did not expect to see, since I knew that they had been affected badly by Katrina. But they had made it there anyway, which pleased me no end!

Just a quick update before I sack out--had a lovely time at Gulf Wars. Spent most of it at Scribe's Point, AKA, the Dungeon, where I did the calligraphy for two master scrolls, and painted a very lovely scroll for a Glean Abhann award--first time for me to paint a scroll for the new kingdom. Got a chance to make some new friends, and was able to see some old ones whom I had not expected to be there!

But it's a long drive up, and a long drive back. *whoosh*
